CEO: What was the most beneficial part of CEO Consulting's assistance with the Peel N' Pop?

Barry Blair: "The input and the creativity of the students were invaluable; they showed me a whole new side to the product and made it more marketable." He referred to CEO as, "bright, motivated individuals, who really have an interest in entrepreneurship."

CEO: Why did you choose Bryant University over other schools in the area?

Barry Blair: "I chose Bryant because all I kept hearing was that the students who go there, love going there. That was the deciding factor for me."

CEO: Where do see you yourself next year?

Barry Blair: On T.V. by Christmas, and $50 million in gross sales.

CEO: How do you put together a great team to help you achieve a goal like this?

Barry Blair: "You must personally interview everyone. Success is all about personality, personality is power. I can take someone with a lot of personality and a little bit of knowledge and teach them, but I can't take someone with a little bit of personality and a lot of knowledge and teach them to have personality. Make sure you treat everyone with respect and make them feel important."

Not only will the consulting committee continue to work with Barry Blair throughout the semester, CEO itself has a great line-up of events during the next few months. In addition to guest speakers, we have four major upcoming events:

1. Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival: Camp Sunshine is a pseudo pumpkin carving competition where Life Is Good donates one dollar for every pumpkin carved to the Camp Sunshine charity. All the different organizations bring their pumpkins to Boston where they are stacked together and lit, creating an awesome sight.

2. Elevator Pitch ("E-Pitch") Competition: Most of us know E-Pitch from personal experience. For those who do not, E-Pitch is when Business 101 students pitch their idea in 90 seconds or less in front of a panel of judges with the potential to win huge prizes.

3. Benjamin Zander: With great thanks to the work of Lauren Amarante and others, we have a huge speaker coming to Bryant this year. His name is Benjamin Zander and he is a world famous orchestra conductor and speaker. He will be performing in the Bello center in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes open for signs. Feel free to check him out beforehand on YouTube; this is an incredible show that should be seen by all.

4. CEO National Conference: CEO National is when members of CEO travel to Chicago to participate in this three-day networking and entrepreneurship conference. Here you will meet real CEO's of companies and listen to entrepreneurs from all ages and industries. The conference provides students with valuable knowledge and insight and everyone who attends is truly amazed by how much they get out of it.

One last thing -- Our general meeting time is Thursdays at 5:00 in Papitto Dining Hall; we encourage new members and hope to see you at the next meeting.
